Your positive feedback
At this
splendid event, the translator forgot to mention something Habib Ali
said toward the end of his presentation. Yes, Ma Sha Allah, Habib
Ali seemed more on a PowerPoint presentation than his more regular
speeches. Anyhow, I just wanted to bring to your attention and
perhaps you could let others know that Habib Ali referred to the
moving poetry of Poetic Pilgrimage as an example of what should be
happening in Britain i.e. native Brits should get to know the
Prophet (saw) and sing his praises, as did the Pilgrims. Overall, a
heart-moving event. Non-Muslims and others from SOAS were in awe and
complained why these events were not advertised en masse.
Fair point. Allah be with you. PS: Abdul Rehman Malik was simply
brilliant in warming-up the crowd for the Pilgrims!
Well I’d
like to thank Q-News very much for letting the sisters have a
session with sheikh Habib Ali at the end we received some really
good naseeha from them and a little more barakah to take home with
us that day. I come out of that room feeling
so much love and mercy, I haven’t experienced so much love and mercy
from an event before and felt so much closer to the prophet (saw).
Alhamdulillah Shaam always are very inspiring and the best was that
they sang ya tayba I saw everyone smile very joyfully at that
point. Alhamdulillah Poetic Pilgrimage was something very different
to what I expected, their words were so deep and filled with so much
sincerity that I believed it touched every single persons heart in
that room.
What I loved most about this
event is that it was like a mini maulid with Shaykhs to give us
enlightenment, dhikrAllah for the heart, and beautiful poetry.
Considering that I was working as a volunteer and did not see the
event, I very much appreciated Shaykh Habib Ali's slides as I was
able to benefit by reading the slides through the window of the hall
doors. One of the main lessons I took away is that we are one unit -
one family. If my brother in Iraq hurts than I am not to dismiss
that. Rather I must act within the boundaries set by Allah and the
means available to do something, a prayer, an action, a good word (-
due to the pictures Shaykh Habib Ali had on the projection screen).
I am relieved that we had female artists doing service to those
present through the beauty and clarity of speech - I am unable to
comment further as I was a volunteer and did not actually watch the
event itself.

The talk was
lovely, and I just spend the night
typing the notes up... hope
that they are helpful... please do remember me in your duas...
wasalam.
Tabarak
Allah, very thorough notes. Sorry, I didn't take any, I couldn't
take my eyes of Habib Ali long enough:), so i forgot a lot of it;
its a good job someone was doing the job for all of us. Habib Ali is
a real lover of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him
peace). When he told the story of Fudalah, i don't think there was a
dry eye in the house. Basic message of the night as a whole: bring
the love of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace)
into our hearts, and we will follow his Sunnah. If we follow his
Sunnah, the non-Muslims will love us, and so they will love him (may
Allah bless him and give him peace) instead of drawing such
cartoons. Habib Ali emphasised that the mawlid is coming up, and we
must fill this month with dhikr and salawat and studying the sunnah
and the shama'il, and work to make the Prophet (may Allah bless him
and give him peace) alive in our hearts. Wa Allahu A'lam.
I really enjoyed the gathering of
the Shuyukh with all their light and wisdom and the gathering of the
Muslims to remember our beloved prophet (saw). The most important
lesson I learnt was to reflect on ones actions and to compare it to
the actions of the prophet (pbuh) and to try and emulate him. I
think what Shaam do is wonderful. However, I do find the music
repetitive and have been much more inspired by other performers.
Poetic Pilgrimage are inspiring and beautiful. We need more Muslims
who are part of mainstream culture to express their views and a way
which people can relate to, so eloquently and powerfully.
Excellent choice of speakers with a very
relevant topic ... who provided practical everyday advice and the
talks were pitched at a level which could be understood by all...
not on a very literate intellectual level...good combination of
speakers and light entertainment combination...I appreciate that
Q-news provided the sisters of poetic pilgrimage the opportunity for
their first performance. They gave an excellent performance... those
two sisters are so inspiring and Inshallah would love to see and
hear them perform more often...they are really brave to take the
stage, which is a very admirable quality... The most memorable
message from the evening was the message of Habib Ali... fi qulu
bina... re: prophet Mohamed (saw).... and the awareness campaign
he suggested.... also the comparison between global
poverty/suffering and our reactions to the cartoons.
Poetic Pilgrimage are very
talented and they are now part of the biggest family in the world!
The most important lesson I will take away from this event is that
'if they knew him, they would love him' (regarding our beloved
prophet.) I really love Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad's lectures, and the
one he gave this time was amazing. The fact that under one roof, you
have great teachers and descendants of our huzoor Muhammad (saw)
where else does one want to be. Shaykh Babikr was inspiring - the
first time I heard him. He gave practical advice. Shaykh Habib Ali
was again very inspiring.
This event had a good mix of
speakers. Abdul Hakim Murad gave a good holistic view of the issues
in the light of Islam and a different way to tackle the cartoon
issues.
The main
thing was the topic - all about love, it’s definitely one of the
greatest aspects in Islam that should be promoted.
I thought Poetic Pilgrimage were absolutely
fantastic. The most important lesson I will take away is the Hadith
about the Prophet walking round the Kaaba and that man following him
with the intention of killing him.
I was honoured
to have
such noble speakers give so much of their time. My most memorable
moment was when one of the shaykhs said, Throw yourself in with
mankind. There are no circles of exclusivity. Poetic Pilgrimage were
very inspiring and brought a lot of joy to the evening. Their words
were powerful and deeply personal and struck a strong chord with
much of the audience.
Poetic Pilgrimage were fantastic
and moving. I usually prefer just to listen to the speakers rather
than having entertaining interludes but this was very powerful and
touched my heart. The event in general was very uplifting and
timely. It brought together three speakers who each complemented
each other so beautifully and the atmosphere was one of love and
community. the topic was very relevant and I think the community
(including non-Muslims) of England are starving hungry for
nourishing events such as these. it brought tears to my eyes many
times and gave me so much in ways that I cannot express. May you be
rewarded for your efforts and given tawfiq to organise many more
Diversity,
integration, well presented, concise and to the point. Objectives
achieved. The most important lesson I will
take away is Importance of love. Poetic Pilgrimage are amazing
sisters, they truly inspired and touched many in the audience that
day. Shaam were inspiring, as always.

Just thank
you for bringing in such lovely and blessed souls, our scholars!!!
The most important lesson I will take away
is the importance of salaah (Sh Hakim Murad). The importance of
manners (Sh Habib Ali). The importance of love (Sh Ahmed Babikr).
You know, the presence of Sheikh Habib Ali took me by awe! He has
such gentleness in his speech and though this sounds like an
insignificant thing, he always has a smile on his face, Subhanallah!
I mean, when someone treats you like that, you just want to submit
to them, and in turn Allah and Rasool.
Subhanallah, those sisters - Poetic
Pilgrimage, were superb! Their talent is amazing. I think it is an
excellent way of bringing the YOUTH out of R&B that dictates
pleasures of the nafs, and turning them to the light of Allah in a
fun, exciting and heart inspiring way. Mashallah....there humility
was sooo heart touching....There is a saying that, when Allah loves
a person he tells Gibril who also loves that person. Then all the
angels in heaven love that person and consequently, those in the
world....I hope they realise just how amazing they are in my sight
and many others! Shaam were amazing! It was a nice way of relaxing
the mind and bringing a sense of calmness in to the room...
The story of Fudalah:
After the conquest of
Mecca, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was making
Tawaf, and Fudalah began to follow him with a dagger hidden in his
clothes with the intention of killing him. The Prophet (may Allah
bless him and give him peace) said to him as they walked 'o Fudalah,
what are you thinking to yourself?' Fudalah said 'I am making Tawaf
and making dhikr of Allah, nothing more.' then they continued, until
the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) again asked 'o
fudalah, what are you thinking to yourself?' Fudalah again said' I
am doing Tawaf and remembering Allah.' they continued, and then
after a while the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace)
turned fully around to face Fudalah, and asked him a third time.
Fudalah answered again 'I am making Tawaf and remembering Allah.'
The Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) then placed his
noble hand on Fudalah's chest, which was full of rancour and hatred
towards him. Fudalah said: 'when he placed his hand on my chest,
there was no one in the world I hated more than he. By Allah, by the
time he lifted it, there was no one in the world more beloved to me
than he.' The touch of the hand of the Prophet (may Allah bless him
and give him peace) turned his hatred into love. Habib Ali said that
there are many hearts in the west full of hatred towards the
Muslims, that need our hands to be placed over them, so that love
for our religion and our Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him
peace) might enter in.
Overall the
good thing about the event was that it increases the love of the
prophet because they are very much knowledgeable shuyukh well
experienced... Alhamdulillah it just makes you love the prophet even
more. Subhanallah.
I appreciated EVERYTHING about
this event. It was amazing to be there and lifted my soul into the
heavens! Being in the company of the Shaykh's is just amazing
subhanallah. Every speaker managed to touch my heart and bring me to
tears - truly lovers of the Rasool(s). I'd love to re-live that
evening again..... "If only you knew him" Haya fi Qulubina!!! Shaam
are an amazing group with beautiful voices - they have got a unique
way of reaching out to people! and Poetic Pilgrimage - SUBHANALLAH!
They touched the hearts of all those in the room - definitely
brought me to tears.
The Poetic Pilgrimage sisters
were excellent... sometimes you need others to explain how you
yourself feel. It was very heart moving. May Allah bless His
servants. Unfortunately did not get the chance to listen to Shaam as
I went off to pray Isha... I have heard them before and may Allah
bless them they have beautiful voices. After the event, I was left
evaluating how much love I have for the Nabi (saw) and how I go
about my everyday life without having any care of the world....where
is my love for the beloved Rasool and how I can make a difference to
my life with really sincerely loving the Beloved of Allah. The whole
event was excellent and I really cannot say what I enjoyed the
most....it was a blessing to have the opportunity to attend all the
way from Leeds, Alhamdulillah. What was beneficial was that it was
not on the weekend.
I loved all
the talks... They were all soooo deeply moving and of course the
highlight of the night was Habib Ali. I felt the talk was so
spiritually uplifting in every way possible and I remember coming
home wishing these kinds of events happened more often.

I loved the
variety. Poetic Pilgrimage were very
inspirational and very easy to relate to. Had no preference between
Shaam and Poetic Pilgrimage, both were equally good in their own
style.
Good for
converts! Because they often don’t know much about the prophet
(saw). In order to love someone, you need to know or learn about the
person. This was such a good opportunity to learn about the holy
prophet (saw) and especially because it was about his love. It was
good because I learned lots of Hadiths and more importantly the love
of the prophet Mohammed (saw)! I appreciated this important talk was
given by very knowledgeable scholars. I don’t like talks which
criticise a lot about other religions in comparison to Islam but
this talk was purely about Islam and the Prophet Mohammed (saw).
Also I appreciated that all the speakers reminded how Muslims should
be in this situation, instead of blaming and criticising the
cartoonists. I thought it was very mature.
Poetic Pilgrimage must have gone through a lot of suffering times
before converted. Recitation in Arabic, English and Urdu by Shaam
was very beautiful. What I will take away: - Shaykh Abdal-Hakim
Murad - "Religion is healing and mercy to believers." - Shaykh Ahmed
Babikr - "True love means, you love in the cause of Allah" - Habib
Ali - "How many people looked at the crying baby with irritation and
how many with mercy?" But I must say the MOST touched performance
was by Habib Ali when he showed us the cartoons that insulted the
prophet (saw) and Muslims; I think it made him a bigger person.
Wonderful
speakers, guests and the title of the event.
I learned more about our beloved prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon
him). Poetic Pilgrimage were fantastic.
Very good.
Poetic Pilgrimage were very good. We need to
inculcate this poetic culture in our community. The most important
lesson I will take away is being self-critical of oneself rather
than pointing the finger to others.

The
opportunity to listen to our beloved shuyukh and insha-Allah
implement their naseeha. Poetic Pilgrimage
spoke from the heart and they touched the heart... I was unable to
hold back my tears. May Allah Ta'ala reward, protect, and increase
them.
The
organisation, the serene atmosphere, the wonderful wonderful
shuyukh, the open easy going manner that everyone working there had,
but above all, the shuyukh and their words of wisdom! Poetic
Pilgrimage were Mashallah excellent! Their
lyrical flow and sentimental words blew us all away I think!
The fact
that there were different types of speakers on the stage.
I thought it was an excellent performance
and very encouraging of Q news to support and promote contemporary
talent like Poetic Pilgrimage who
provide a refreshingly different and positive perspective on Islam.
The most important lesson I will take away
is Habib Ali's message to have the Rasool in our hearts.
Shaykh
Babikr and Shaykh Murad are very talented speakers. May Allah bless
them and there families. The most important
lesson I will take away is the patience and beauty in the speech of
Shaykh Habib Ali al- Jifri, even
though I don’t understand Arabic, when I listen to him it sends a
warm feeling to my heart, one has to just look at the his lineage,
la illaha illalla hu Muhammad Rasool Allah.
The concise
and simple delivery of the subject to Muslims - and how quickly our
Shuyukh are here to tackle issues which we should be also
tackling-their wisdom and words are an ever more true sign of our
beautiful religion which is so misunderstood at the moment.
The most important lesson I will take away
is Love for the Prophet! and implementing the Hadith. As well as the
logo - "He is alive in our hearts". Please can you obtain a copy of
this logo for print and distribution by appropriate means?
Three really
good speakers. The most important lesson I
will take away is that we are ambassadors of the Prophet SAW.
The most important lesson I will take away
is Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad saying we need to criticise ourselves
and our community before blaming others plus Shaykh Ahmed Babikr’s
courage in speaking about love.
Relevance to
the time we are living in. Poetic Pilgrimage were
indescribable!
The topic,
the awesome speakers and the barakah in the hall that could be cut
through with a knife.
The event
was very well timed and the speakers very relevant. The message
could not have been more appropriate.
Alhamdulillah...the progress these sisters have made in their 8
months as Muslims is amazing, and their talent most definately
outstanding. Given more time, I think these sisters will develop
into excellent ambassadors of Muslims as artists.
The subject
matter is something that’s obviously become a very HOT TOPIC. This
talk would have been great to have invited non-Muslim journalists
and so forth, especially university students who are interested in
this HOT TOPIC, as it’s all over the media. So dealing with this
topic so well, is something that people were yearning for.
Alhamdulillah. Subhanallah! Shaykh Ahmed
Babikr was congratulating Poetic Pilgrimage and complimenting them
immensely! My mates who are into Hip/Hop and poetry found their
lyrics amazing!
We Muslims should be asking ourselves, how and WHY these images and
misconceptions are still being peddle and growing/ IF there are
indeed Muslims in the West? All Muslims are meant to be all
Ambassadors of Muhammad ((saw)). Are we Muslims doing our jobs
correctly? IF we were truly being real Ambassadors for Muhammad to
the rest of Humanity, then the TRUTH would be CLEAR and the
distortions of the Media would be clearly shown out to be false by
the people. For Muhammad ((saw)) came to this world as a Mercy to
all Humanity. Are Muslims today being Merciful to All Humanity
around them? If they were there would be no problem.

Good
selection of speakers and artists with very uplifting mood.
I think that
the speakers spoke in a manner pertinent to the issues facing the
Muslim community at present. They brought the Prophet's message to
life and allowed the audience to appreciate how we can be
emancipated by his very teachings. The concepts of love, tolerance,
compassion and mercy have been lost in the world we are living in at
present. The speakers expounded such principles and made the
audience understand the need to love more and to place more reliance
on Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I think this was a feat that they
all achieved with wonderful eloquence. Jazakallah khair for the
enlightening evening of love, may Allah bless you and all the
speakers.
Poetic Pilgrimage are an extremely talented
group who have an exciting future ahead of them. I think
'spoke-word' poetry is a lovely outlet for Muslims to express their
love for Allah and their appreciation of the serenity Islam brings
into one's life. I think that you should definitely get Poetic
Pilgrimage to perform at future events. I like the way they keep it
simple and allow the words to punctuate your heart.
The most important lesson I will take away is to love humanity and
to show compassion and mercy as our Prophet did. We are not a unique
organisation, a group that is 'chosen'. Islam is a complete way of
life that brings people back into a direct relationship with Allah.
It is a reversion to the natural state that we were born into. I
think we need to remember this and begin to spread this message to
humanity. In order to spread this message to humanity we therefore
have to have love for our fellow humans and try to allow people to
love the message.
The speakers
and singers. Poetic Pilgrimage were
excellent. When one of the sisters stopped and started to cry, I was
deeply moved. Shaam were great as usual. One of my favourite bands.
The
opportunity to meet friends and hear beloved teachers, reflect on
their thoughts and guidance. Shaam were very
good, Mashallah. Perhaps they could play at the beginning while
people are waiting, so that the programme could be shorter. It would
be a good way to keep people happy and create an atmosphere of dhikr
while waiting for things to start.
Habib Ali
Jifri and events like this make one proud to be Muslim.
Having
traditional top class scholars all unique in their own special way.
Having entertainment. Excellent venue. Starts at the right time to
coincide with free parking and free entry in the congestion zone
charge area. A good opportunity to meet brothers from far who are
only met at these events. I loved Fuad Nahdi’s jokes.
The caliber
of the speakers, and the excellent organisation of the talk by the
Q-News team. Well done guys.
It was quick
to get in, well organised. A good mixture of speakers and
entertainment. I liked the good collections of material being sold
outside. It was nice to have something
different for a change. Poetic Pilgrimage
are talented, and their passion for both their lyrics and religion
are inspiration. One particularly touching moment was when Poetic
Pilgrimage mentioned some of the Prophetic behaviour, one particular
one was where a boy's sparrow died and he spent his whole day with
the child. This is something that made the Poetic Pilgrimage
sister cry, and was definately touching.
The informal
approach and humour from Shaykh Abdal-Hakim Murad.
Staff was
very helpful. Service is efficient. Poetic Pilgrimage
touched my heart; it was nice to hear their experience and feelings
coming into Islam. I recommend they record this on CD so others can
hear their talent and beautiful words. Every speaker gave me
reminder of what we are and how we should act in society.
THE GREAT
SCHOLARS. Poetic Pilgrimage was ABSOLUTELY
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Prophet Muhammad (saw) LIVES IN OUR HEARTS AND IF
THEY KNEW HIM THEY WOULD LOVE HIM...
Shaykh Abdul
Hakim Murad, Shaykh Ahmed Babikr and 'Habib Ali are truly MEN OF
ALLAH - ALLAH BLESS THEM ALL AND ELEVATE THEM IN RANK.
Poetic Pilgrimage were absolutely brilliant
- please invite them back for the Mawlid! This event reinforced the
message that I hear at my local masjid week in week out and that is
"Muhammad (saw) is the best of examples to humanity"... we just need
this to be at the forefront of our actions...

When so much
of the Muslim ummah are behaving so badly with ignorance and anger,
it is reassuring to be with the rational certainty of Abdul Hakim,
an intellectual powerhouse against ignorance: to be with the loving
face of Ahmed Babikr as someone who would smile with warmth at those
who curse him: and Habib Ali- to hear him is to hear the voice of
the prophet himself. Poetic Pilgrimage -
women who spoke nakedly from the heart with the fresh enthusiasm of
those who see Islam without prejudice. Brilliant. My most memorable
lesson was from Habib Ali - we need to reach out with mercy to
everyone not just those we feel comfortable to be with.
Relatively
on time :-) And the people were kind and showed their adab in their
words and their actions. Poetic Pilgrimage -
a beautiful talent and a cultural innovation which I would think (wa
Allahu a'lam) is bida'... Bida' hasanah, that is. And of Shaam, I
thought what I usually think. Deeply sincere, and it shines in their
music. Ask them to get the fatwa of the Shafi'i school on musical
instruments from a decent mufti; they may broaden out a bit!
The whole
evening was so beautiful and all the speakers and performers really
helped to increase my love for the Prophet ((saw)). Poetic
Pilgrimage - Mashallah, very beautiful
poetry and performance. To repeat what someone already said about
those sisters, "they're really going somewhere". The fact that the
Prophet ((saw)) was referring to humanity and not just the Muslims
in his hadiths really touched me because we are all apart of his
Ummah.
By Allah you
need to keep it just like that! Mashallah I
am a convert myself and Poetic Pilgrimage
just put words for my feelings. I think it is brilliant for dawah.
Inshallah I will make my non Muslim sister listen to them. Their
spirit is amazing. I like Shaam very much and I hope to see them for
all of your events! Poetic Pilgrimage as well! My favourite was
Habib! Why? Because he is a Habib! I just think of him and tears
come! I love him for Allah so much. His hadith PowerPoint
presentation was incredible, very emotional
I really
liked the venue, the speakers and the topic. There was a mixture of
stuff. Alhamdulillah! I loved Poetic
Pilgrimage’s performance, especially their
lyrics. Both of the sisters were brilliant, and I liked their
informality. Their performance really did move me to tears. Please
invite them to many more gatherings. Shaam: I noticed that one of
the members wasn't there - is he OK? I did like it but would have
preferred if they did more recent nasheeds- but on the whole really
enjoyed their performance. Sheikh Habib Ali was absolutely
inspiring! The way he talked about the Prophet (SAW) was sooooo
beautiful. I really liked the hadith he put on the slides. Please
invite him to more of the future gatherings. I also really liked
Sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad's talk.

All speakers
had something of real value to share. Even ideas we've heard before,
are presented through someone else's experience in a graphic and
profound delivery. This is most inspiring and informative in a
memorable way. Poetic Pilgrimage -
Exhilarating, straight from the heart, powerful stuff.... Both
sisters are very effective communicators, articulate and sincere.
More please! "Islam is not just a way of life; it is a way of being
within...” Our inner and outer dimensions have to be integrated, to
be whole, harmonious and complete. In short, 'Adab' courtly manners,
good character.
The
wonderful Shaykhs, the inspiring performances, everything that was
spoken, the blessing you felt to be in such great presence, the list
is endless, Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah!
Where shall I start! Poetic Pilgrimage
have only been Muslims for 7 months and they have so much love for
the beautiful Deen. What they spoke about was so powerful and like
everyone else it bought tears to my eyes. They were amazing; it was
nice to see something different on stage. May ALMIGHTY bless them
endlessly! Alhamdulillah, Shaam were wonderful as usual. So
peaceful. One of my favourite groups and they all look so lovely in
white, Masha’Allah. May ALMIGHTY reward them.
People
should start conveying the prophetic message in the prophetic way!
The event
was enlightening as much as entertaining.
This event
taught me that anger, revenge is a disease
of the heart. It happened at the right time. Abdul Hakim
Murad is absolutely brilliant as are the other speakers. Poetic
Pilgrimage were amazing... Very meaningful
to everyone and extremely moving
Made me
proud to be who I am. Poetic Pilgrimage were
amazing...do you have their contact details? I didn't get a chance
to speak to them after to performance. I was inspired!
When Habib Ali went through the sayings of
the Prophet ((saw)) - that just made me realise that I for one am
not following the dean 100%. I appreciated the speakers and
their tone. The message, their delivery - for I do not attend so
many lectures week in and week out. So I look forward to big events
such as this and speakers who have knowledge and know how to convey
it. I thoroughly enjoyed the deepness of Sheikh Abdul Hakim Murad,
the laughter and joy in Sheikh Ahmed Babikr and the softness of
Habib Ali. It has made me think a lot... Inshallah I hope I can take
a lot more from more events and improve my iman.
I am quite a 'hip-hop' head as you may
imagine living in this day and age. I don't know if that is a good
thing... but I must say I was more than impressed by Poetic
Pilgrimage. Alhamdulillah the sisters know how to drop serious,
knowledgeable lyrics and I was like wow! That’s cool to hear... I
hope they can crack various arenas and spread the word of truth
Inshallah. Alhamdulillah I thought Shaam had a very good
performance. Nice music and singing although it is not what I would
usually listen to ... I think maybe I should, who knows...Allah
knows best.

I loved
the general message of love. I felt
privileged to be there and to be a Muslim. I have learnt,
cried, felt uplifted, desperate to see the Prophet in my dreams,
Inshallah.
Thank you
for having segregated male and female sections, power points of
hadiths for those who wished to make notes. It was wonderful to be
in the presence of the sheikh.
I loved
everything! The poem, when the sister said,
about Sayyidina Muhammad (saw), that
the tree wept...! Subhanallah, that was very touching.
Alhamdulillah this event managed to get Muslims from apparently
different background to get together for a couple of hours to revive
the spirit of Islam and ukhuwah Islamiyah.
Fresh, honest, inspiring. Would you please bring more muslim artists
to the stage in good combination of young and old as such everyone
can notice that Muslim are very creative and talented hence they
have a good feeling about being Muslim when they leave the venue.
Hopefully it can increase the self esteem of Muslim in general and
inspire the young Muslim to channel the emotions (love, critic,
anger etc) in a productive way.
I was
touched by the notion that despite how much
we get insulted, we should forgive and forget as the Prophet (saw)
never took revenge. Every thing was great.
Shaam have always been my favourite.
Alhamdulillah as usual they were spiritually uplifting.
Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad provided us with a very effective
intellectual perspective, Shaykh Ahmad Babikr’s poem was deeply
moving and Habib Ali of course made my day-even to be in his
presence was one of the greatest opportunities. The entertainment
reinforced the whole concept of love for the Prophet (saw) and was
enormously overwhelming.
More love, less aggression! It was
nice to have Poetic Pilgrimage and Shaam as a pleasant break from
the seriousness of the talks and the topic
The Friend
of Allah, Habib Ali. High profile personalities like him is a great
reason for me to attend. He reminds me of Allah swt and the Prophet
(saw) and my purpose in life and my undeniable end.

My favourite
lesson from the evening would be that there
are hearts in this land that have inherited the spiritual state of
fudaala and have this enmity towards Islam; however, we need
spiritual inheritors of the Prophet (saw)
to place the hand of love, mercy, and
compassion on those chests. And how this is the discourse of jihad
in these lands. I loved everything about this event - being
with such beautiful people, in such awesome company!
Sham’s traditional singing method with their
timeless nasheeds are always uplifting for the soul.
Mashallah Poetic Pilgrimage
were brilliant and their performance was immensely touching. It’s
good to see sisters with talent being heard as it can be a great
inspiration to people with similar experiences. I think they were so
very brave and mujahidaat for definite!! All due respect to them!
My favourite
moment? This requires too long an answer-no
time... but yes a lot of it touched me... Poetic Pilgrimage
were great and powerful. I was crying...
No point to go to a demonstration one day to
feel better Muslim....be a Muslim daily day is much harder and much
closer to the teaching of our beloved Prophet (saw). I loved
the panel of speakers and Poetic Pilgrimage.
FINALLY Muslim women on stage!! Even if I don't like this "genre"
very much. I think and hope that will encourage more Muslims women
to be able to perform in front of mix audience and Muslims men to be
able to listen to it!
Poetic
Pilgrimage were unbelievably inspirational
to us all. They had many of us in tears...Subhanallah.
The most important lesson I will take away
is that the beloved of Allah is above what these people portrayed
him as. It was timely advice in times of deep anger amongst the
Muslims. The fact that we were invited to attend a gathering
about Sayidduna Muhammad (saw). Our scholars gave such important
advice and pearls of wisdom to reflect on that it overwhelmed the
heart. Words cannot describe what it felt like to be in the presence
of Habib Ali, who is a living example of his beloved grandfather
(saw). May Allah bless him with a long life and allow him to
continue his goal to instil the love of his beloved grandfather in
people’s hearts. May Allah bless
Poetic Pilgrimage abundantly. The words were
very deep and touched many people; I believe this was because of
their akhlaq and their sincerity of what they spoke about. Shaam -
To sing in praise of our master the beloved in a beautiful voice is
surely a ni'ma from Allah, and may Allah allow them to continue on
this path.
Poetic
Pilgrimage were inspiringly emotional. Not a
dry eye was left in the building.
The most important lesson I will take away
is having mercy on the creation of Allah.
My sister in
law was there. She loved it. She said Habib Ali was amazing, Sh
Abdal Hakim was enriching as ever, and the 2 rap sisters brought
everyone to tears.... Masha'Allah nice evening overall. Well done to
Q-News for reaching out.
Alhamdulillah everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It was
spiritually very uplifting especially with the presence of Shaykh
Habib Ali Jifri. May Allah bless our Shuyukh and allow us to benefit
from them.
"If you only
knew him" sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam.
